A great family vacation is one that not only keeps everyone entertained but also is able to do that while you still spend time together as a family. It is really hard to spend much family time together with all of the electronics that get in the way. It can be difficult to plan family things to do. If you are like most families everyone usually spends their evenings entertaining themselves. Breaking this cycle can be very difficult to do. The kids may not think they can live without their video games and televisions. Parents may not think they can live without Internet and their cell phones. These things have become so much a part of our lives that it’s very difficult to separate us from them. The first few days may be difficult but once you get past them you will all be able to enjoy yourselves.
If you are looking for a great idea for a family vacation you should try camping. If you choose a good resort there will be a lot of family things to do. They may not only have the standard things such as boating and fishing but there may be many other activities. If you camp near a river there will be other options such as kayaking or tubing. Taking a tubing trip down the river will not only be fun but will be a great chance to spend family time together. If the weather is warm everyone will enjoy getting in the cool river. There are usually stops that you can make along the trip as well. Normally there will be places to eat or places to purchase drinks as you float down the river. You can spend the evenings around the campfire sharing stories or making some up. Make sure you also pack everything to make smores. Roasting marshmallows around the campfire is a great memory that will stay with your kids.
There are so many great things you can do on a family camping vacation. With a little bit of planning you will all have a great time on your trip. There are so many family things to do on a camping trip. You may even find after a couple of days that no one misses all of those electronics that they thought they couldn’t live without.
